If the emergency siren is activated during the work day you should: 

1. Take cover inside the building away from windows and things that may fall on you. A hallway is preferred.
2. Stay in your position until an "all clear" is given by public safety or by local emergency broadcast on radio.
3. It is important that you stay inside the building for your protection.

NOTE: Sirens are tested at 12:00 noon on the first Monday of each month.

In the event of a dual emergency, such as the Emergency siren and a fire alarm are activated at the same time, the fire alarm takes priority and exiting the building as quickly as possible to another building is advised.
