Termination
Employees can be terminated either with cause or without cause.
- For cause termination, the termination occurs when an employee commits serious misconduct, or breaches their employment contract. They can also be terminated if all disciplinary stages have been exhausted without required correction.
- Without cause termination occurs when the company needs to make redundancies or layoffs. We will always follow applicable laws regarding notice and payouts.
Depending on local law, we may also compensate accrued vacation and sick leave upon termination. Typically, subject to local laws, we will pay accrued leave so long as you are not terminated for misconduct.
Managers must ensure they do not commit wrongful dismissal. They must be absolutely certain that adequate performance and disciplinary logs are maintained and able to be shared to justify your decision.
