Where is AI Used?
Both the basic and enhanced AI are used in almost every feature in our platform. Here's a rundown of where you'll find it:
- Inserting a new policy. Here you can select to have AI generate the policy or procedure document for you. It'll create a template and then let you continue editing after that.
- Editing Policies. There are many features that can enhance your policy editing experience. Learn about them here.
- Quiz Creation. Incredibly useful feature! You can auto-generate quizzes for policies, that can then be used during training or attestations. It'll suggest a handful of questions you can then tweak or expand yourself.
- Search. If you have Enhanced AI enabled, use the regular search in the wiki but put a question mark at the end of your search, and it'll use AI to answer that question using the content of your wiki.
- Approvals. When reviewing/approving changes to a policy or procedure that is referenced either in risk mitigations or compliance objectives, it will use AI to evaluate those changes and warn you if they may compromise that mitigation or compliance initiative. You'll see this evaluation at the top of the review screen if you are an admin or Risk/Compliance Analyst user.
- Ticket responses. You can either have AI assist you in answering a ticket question, or you can have it automatically answer questions.
- Incident Report analysis. When an incident report (or hazard or concern) is entered, you can use AI to analyze that incident report. It will review the incident report to ascertain the risks it presents, and will suggest the policies that should have helped mitigate that incident from occurring. If it cannot find any policies, it will even suggest amendments or new policies to help ensure it won't happen again. For other policies, it will suggest sending out attestations to reinforce them further.
- Respond to industry events. By using the new "Report Concern From URL", you can paste in news article URLs, and the AI will parse the news article, see how it relates to your organization and then suggest actions to take (new or modified policies) to ensure you're mitigated by any potential impact.
- Generate risk registers. You can have AI come up with a list of risks for different areas of your business. It'll then create a risk register for those risks, and let you add mitigations accordingly.
- Find risk mitigations. You can use the "AI Suggest" option on a risk in order to automatically add mitigations by finding suitable policies, offering amendments or suggesting entirely new policies.
- Find policy exceptions. AI can also find policies that contradict compliance objectives or risk mitigations that are already in place. This is something that can often happen and go undetected.
- Generate best practices. You can have AI come up with a list of best practices for different areas of your business. These will then be monitored in the Compliance tab.
- Find compliance objective evidence. Again, use the "AI Suggest" action on any compliance objective (including best practice lists) to find suitable policies to satisfy those objectives. If it cannot find any policies, it'll suggest amendments or brand new policies you can then follow in order to satisfy your compliance initiatives.
- Translate to different languages. The AI can also be used to translate the system to new languages. When it understands the domain of the system, it can then provide more accurate translations.
