Clearing Out Data

Our platform records a change history for every article, and the Enterprise Edition records an archive of even deleted articles. Over time this may take up space you would rather free. To accommodate this, we provide an action called "Clean Out". This action can only be run by an administrator.

Go to any article and click on Explore mode. Then go to What's Next and select "Clean Out".

In that pop-up form, you can specify a date. This is the date prior to which any changes will be removed from the system. After you select this date and click OK, it will warn you of how many changes will be removed from the system. In addition it will tell you if any archived entries are qualified to be removed from the system.

Once you confirm that warning, the data will be removed. 

It is recommended that you backup your system prior to running this action, as it cannot be undone.
