Install ID: sw420_11380

Installation Instructions (note: Cloud editions are upgraded automatically)

  1. Enhancements to the editor!
    1. You can now change the color of text.
    2. You can now highlight text (with a yellow background)
    3. There are now two header levels (previously we encouraged articles with two levels to be structured into sub-articles, but it is not always practical to do this).
    4. You can now format text as a small font.
    5. The table editor now has most of the same formatting options as the main editor, including the ability to insert attachments into tables.
    6. Fixed some issues with formatting and copy/pasting.
  2. "To Do" tasks can now be assigned to user groups, not just individuals! By assigning it to the group, everyone in that group will be notified through email and see the assignment highlighted in the system. Any of them can then complete the task or assign it to just themselves instead, allowing others in the group to still access the task to view progress.
  3. Attestation changes:
    1. We now only record that a user viewed an article if they have read the entire article (all the way to the bottom). This means users will not be able to attest (respond to an acknowledgement request) unless they have actually read the entire policy.
    2. You can now exempt a policy from recording access logs of who viewed the policy. This may be useful for certain policies such as a Whistleblower Policy where you do not want the ability to trace who may have read the article for security reasons. You set this in the "No Access Logging" in the article's Settings form when editing.
    3. Removing a user will now also remove any pending acknowledgement (attestation) requests for that user.
  4. When multi-selecting users to add to a group, the action now lets you add the users to multiple groups at once.
  5. When publishing, you can now specify a "Delayed Publish" date. The system will then delay publishing the article until the specified date. All other approvals will be processed first. An administrator can force the publish of the article early if required.
  6. Most areas of the user interface now have shortcut keys. The shortcut key is displayed if you hover the mouse over the item, in parentheses (eg. (A)). To invoke the shortcut key, in Chrome you press Alt+Shift+shortcut letter. For example to get to the search box, press Alt+Shift+S. To get to the navigator, press Alt+Shift+N, then tab to the first entry in there and use the arrow keys. To invoke the action menu, press Alt+Shift+O, and use the arrow keys to go through the options, pressing enter to select.
  7. Checklist changes:
    1. When completing a checklist, we've now removed the "Send it?" option, as this functionality can now be controlled by checklist notification subscriptions or approval workflow, which are far more reliable methods than depending on the user to click the Send It button and select the correct department.
    2. Custom Lists can now be exported to a spreadsheet by any Wiki Manager. Previously the option was only available for administrators.
    3. You can now override the number of columns displayed in Custom Lists. This defaults to 7 but the "Columns Visible" setting (in Advanced) under the Custom List configuration lets you specify up to 50.
    4. Fixed an issue where Checklist Schedules wouldn't schedule correctly if set to start when completed.
  8. Accessibility enhancements, adding additional support for screen-readers for those with disabilities, and enhancing keyboard navigation in general across the system.
  9. When clearing quiz results (Explore / Admin Functions / Clear Quiz Results) as an administrator, you can now choose a specific user to clear the quiz results for.
  10. There is a new user option, "Asset Access", that lets the user access the Assets tab (available on the hamburger menu). Previously only Wiki Managers could access assets, now both Wiki Managers and those with Asset Access=Yes will be able to access them.
  11. Fixed an issue where submitting an article change as an admin user with one or more delegated approvers on parent articles could cause the page to remain in a pending state.
  12. Some fixes were made to page "To Do" tasks that were set to repeating, where they wouldn't repeat if the server was not running at the scheduled time.
  13. Fixed an issue where the action menu would stay visible when switching pages.
  14. Fixed an issue where in certain conditions the asset supervisor wouldn't be asked to authorize changes made by other users.
  15. Fixed an issue where sometimes the Admin Functions area in Explore mode would not appear for new pages.
  16. Significant performance enhancements (faster article loading and supporting more concurrent users access pages)
