Changes in this release:

  1. You can now add simple flowcharts to pages! These vertically-oriented flowcharts provide another way to describe your organization's procedures more visually, especially when the procedures involve decision trees.
  2. Big changes to the Quizzes feature!
    1. Quizzes can now be added directly into articles! The simplified and more convenient way to add quizzes integrates directly into the approval workflow, change history and access security for consistency across the system. For security reasons, internally quiz data is encrypted into the article, and only accessible to specific users [*] , so it cannot be easily retrieved (to protect against cheating).
    2. Quizzes now have timers. A maximum time can be set for each question. If the user fails to answer within the given time, the quiz questions will be marked as failed.
    3. Quiz questions and answers are now randomized, to make it harder to share answers.
    4. Quizzes are now hierarchical. If you add quizzes to sub-articles, higher-level quizzes will automatically incorporate questions from those sub-articles, in a randomized fashion.
    5. All quizzes in all articles visible to the user are shown in one list on the Quizzes tab, along side any legacy quizzes (previously created directly in the Quizzes tab).
    6. Quiz results for a specific article (and its sub-articles) can be retrieved through a "Quiz Results" report accessible for Wiki Managers.
  3. A new article option "Show Paragraph Numbers" will add numbers to each paragraph in the article, making it easier to reference specific paragraphs in policies. It will also add meta data to the top of the article, indicating the article number, current version, when the policy was originally published and when it was last revised.
  4. Request Acknowledgement / Attestation can now require that a quiz has been passed on that article before they can sign-off. This is another, and more powerful way, to reinforce an understanding of policies. Quizzes can also be configured to only be taken on-request (ie. attestation) rather than on-demand.
  5. Subscriptions! You can now subscribe to an article and it will notify you (through email) that the article has changed, or any of its sub-articles. You can do this through the "Subscribe" option on any page. You can manage them on the "Page Subscriptions" tab under the user profile.
  6. The "insert link" action in the editor now lets you search for articles, as well as pick from the navigator or enter in a URL. This provides a far more convenient way to link between articles in the same wiki. Just select text, click the link button in the editor, then enter in the search query in the link form, and press down or click the magnifying glass to pop-up the search results. Click a result and it will insert a link to it.
  7. When you hover over a link in an article, it will now pop-up with an excerpt from the article being linked to (along with a thumbnail of the primary image on the page).
  8. More improvements for pasting from Word and Excel:
    1. Multi-level number lists will now paste as number lists, instead of plain text.
    2. You can now paste tables from both Word and Excel and they will show as tables in the editor (not all formatting will be transferred, however)
    3. Italics will now be transferred more consistently
    4. Fixed some issues with spaces being lost when pasting certain formatted text
  9. Webchat: You can now specify the Department for an article and its sub-articles (in Settings), that will be used as the ticket department for any web-chat questions raised on that article, and its sub-articles. Default participants in that department will receive the question.
  10. Pasting web page content that contains images will now upload those images into the wiki and link to them, rather than linking to the original image. If the image cannot be downloaded, the image will not be transferred. This is to ensure that page data is entirely independent from external sources for reliability purposes.
  11. Deleting a page will now warn you if other pages have links to that page.
  12. Additional reports have been added to the system, that let you audit change activity across the wiki, and a second type of report that lets you audit views/access to the wiki across the system.
  13. The Enterprise Edition now supports a custom authentication script that can be used to control how users login and how their roles are applied based on Active Directory data. It can also be used to let users signup for access.
  14. The Enterprise Edition now lets you customize the login screen, changing the displayed text.
  15. The Enterprise Edition now lets you customize the links at the top right corner, so you can replace "User Guide" with your own links.
  16. Fixed a problem in the History page where a specific set of change text would cause the renderer to break.
  17. Changed the diffs view so that it will skip rejected articles when showing differences, unless the selected change was itself rejected.
  18. The floating in-article navigator now accommodates more headings in an article by being scrollable.
  19. Fixed an issue where searching for an article title in double quotes would not always find the specific article.
  20. Fixes to the search engine to ensure that titles of articles are given priority in search results over the body of the text.
  21. Fixed an issue where rejected changes could not be resubmitted.
  22. Fixed a problem where sometimes the daily assignments email would not send if there was just one assignment.
  23. Made various UI enhancements to the Questions box.
  24. Fixed an issue where deleting characters only from a title while editing an article would not save the changes.
  25. Fixed an issue with editor navigation where moving the cursor up (when scrolled down) would make the cursor become invisible. It now scrolls the cursor (caret) into view.
  26. Fixed an issue where pasting light colored text would show as strikeout. Now only light gray text will translate to strikeout.
  27. Fixed some issues with hashtags:
    1. Would not always work if placed at the start of a sentence, or on a line by themselves.
    2. Results contained pages with similar sounding words because of the new stemming feature. Now hashtags will only link to pages that have the exact same hashtag.
    3. Fixed an issue where hashtags used in checklist names would break the checklist.
    4. Hashtags are now highlighted in the page to be more distinct.
  28. Fixed an issue where a page with a started checklist that is then edited would show an uncommitted change in certain circumstances for the editing user.
  29. Fixed an issue where images would sometimes be lost when moving articles multiple times.
  30. Fixed an issue where the custom logo would sometimes disappear if you set App Logo Text in the Configuration tab.
  31. Fixed an issue where resubmitting an old change (in history) wouldn't update the approvers from that change.
